A highly experienced coach with a strong track record in developing young rugby talent, Duffy brings a wealth of knowledge from both his playing and coaching career. A former Connacht lock, he represented Connacht, Ireland U21s, Ireland A and the Barbarians before a medical issue brought his playing career to an early end at just 21 years old.
Transitioning into coaching, he worked his way through the Connacht pathway, taking on roles with the academy, Connacht U20s, Connacht Eagles and Ireland U18 Clubs.
In 2015, Duffy joined Connacht’s senior coaching team as Assistant Coach and played a key role in one of the province’s greatest achievements—their historic PRO12 title win in 2016. He spent six seasons with the senior side before pursuing new opportunities, adding international experience with Tonga and helping Ireland U20s secure a Grand Slam in 2022.
More recently, Duffy served as Forwards Coach with the Western Force in Super Rugby before returning to Ireland, where he spent two seasons with Ulster Rugby, continuing his work in developing high-performance forwards.
Following the 2025/26 season he announced a move to Munster
