Spowart played for New Zealand Secondary Schools Barbarians in 2016. He was recruited to join the Crusaders Academy in Nelson from where he played for NZ Under 20's in 2018 and 2019.
A versatile back out of King’s College in Auckland, he made his Tasman Mako debut in 2019.
He heads into the 2020 Mitre 10 Cup having made 6 appearances for the Makos.
