Inverness-born Jamie Dobie signed his first professional contract with Glasgow Warriors ahead of the 2019/20 season.
The first player born after the millennium to sign for the Warriors, Dobie was part of the Merchiston Castle side that claimed victory in the 2018 Schools Cup final at BT Murrayfield.
He has also represented Scotland at U16 and U18 level, captaining Scotland under-18s during the 2018/19 season.
The livewire scrum-half made his debut for the club in the opening match of the 2019/20 season, coming off the bench against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.
His first start for the club was marked in headline-making fashion; the number nine produced a man-of-the-match winning performance against the Dragons at Scotstoun, receiving a standing ovation upon his departure from the pitch with 10 minutes remaining.
Dobie’s performances in his first season as a professional were recognised at the club’s annual awards, as he was named as the Land Rover Young Player of the Season for 2019/20.
His first try in Glasgow colours arrived away to Zebre in March 2021, finishing off a counter-attack by touching down under the posts.
12 months later, the scrum-half turned in a composed performance to claim Player of the Match honours in a 30-17 victory over Edinburgh at Scotstoun.
Having previously been invited to train alongside the senior squad, the scrum-half was called into the Scotland squad for the first time in February 2021 as part of the side’s preparations to face France in Paris.
The scrum-half then went on to make his Scotland debut in October 2021, coming off the bench against Tonga at BT Murrayfield to replace club-mate Ali Price.
