In 2019 Deus represented Uruguay U20 at the IRB Junior World rugby Trophy.
Deus has played professionally for Penarol since 2020 and in his most recent season (22/23) played 14 games starting 10 and scoring 2 tries.
In 2022, Carlos Deus made his international debut for Uruguay against Japan in Tokoyo.
In that same year he went on to play 20 caps for Uruguay Sevens team representing them at the Cape Town, Dubai, Hong Kong and World Ruby 7s World Cup.
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023,Deus has been named in the squad for Uruguay.
