Xavier Roe, born on 13 December 1998, is a New Zealand rugby union player who currently represents the Chiefs in Super Rugby.
He plays as a scrum-half. Roe was included in the Chiefs' squad for the 2021 Super Rugby Aotearoa season, highlighting his selection for the team. Additionally, he was part of the Waikato squad for the 2020 Mitre 10 Cup.
Roe had an impressive campaign during the 2020 Mitre 10 Cup for Waikato, which earned him a spot in the 2021 Gallagher Chiefs squad.
He began his rugby journey at Hamilton Boys' High School, initially playing as a first-five eighth before transitioning to the scrum-half position. In 2018, Roe's talent was recognized when he was selected for the New Zealand Under 20's squad. Later that year, he made his Mitre 10 Cup debut for Taranaki.
After spending two seasons with Taranaki, Roe returned to Waikato for the 2020 Mitre 10 Cup season. As the starting scrum-half, he displayed exceptional form throughout Waikato's campaign, contributing 20 points across the ten games he played that season.
Roe made his debut for the Gallagher Chiefs in 2021 against the Highlanders and went on to make appearances in seven matches. He scored his first try in Super Rugby against the Reds, showcasing his abilities and impact on the field.
