Tumua Manu is a Samoan rugby union player who currently plays for the Chiefs in the Super Rugby competition. He primarily plays as a centre but can also play on the wing.
Manu arrived in New Zealand in 2015 to pursue his rugby career and joined College Rifles. However, he suffered an ACL injury at the end of the season and spent most of 2016 in rehabilitation.
He returned to play for College Rifles in 2017 and impressed enough to earn a call-up to the Auckland side in the Mitre 10 Cup, New Zealand's domestic rugby competition.
His performance caught the attention of the Blues, and he was given the opportunity to play Super Rugby for them in 2018. During that season, he scored three tries in four matches.
In April 2018, Manu was selected for the Blues' Super Rugby squad by coach Tana Umaga. He made four appearances during the 2018 season and also contributed to Auckland's victory in the Mitre 10 Cup.
For the 2019 season, Manu switched to the Chiefs and made his debut against the Highlanders. He was named in the Chiefs squad for the 2020 Super Rugby season and has earned a total of 20 caps so far.
He became a regular starter for the Chiefs and accumulated 24 caps before signing a two-year deal to join Pau, a club in France.
After completing the 2020 Mitre 10 Cup season with Auckland, Manu will join Pau and continue his rugby career in France.
Ahead of the World Rugby Cup 2023,Manu has been named in the squad for Samoa.
