Simone Pietro Ferrari, born on March 28, 1994, is an Italian professional rugby union player who primarily plays as a prop for Benetton in the United Rugby Championship. He has also represented Italy at the international level, making his test debut against South Africa during the 2021 Autumn Nations Series. Ferrari previously played for clubs such as Mogliano.
Ferrari's rugby career began with his inclusion in the Italy Under 20 squad in 2013 and 2014. He continued to progress in the sport and eventually earned a place in the senior Italy squad from 2016 onwards. On August 18, 2019, he was named in the final 31-man squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, showcasing his talent on the global stage.
Before joining Benetton, Ferrari played for club sides Mogliano and Milano. He signed with Benetton in 2015 and quickly made an impression with his performances.
His strong performances led to his inclusion in Italy's November Test squad in 2016, and he made his international debut against South Africa in Florence.
