Seb was a student at Kirkham Grammar School and competed for Sale Sharks' age-grade
sides, including two seasons of involvement in the Premiership Rugby U18 Academy League.
The back-row forward has had an impactful season of development, including loan
experience in National League 2 North, National League 1 and the Championship with Lymm,
Sale FC and Nottingham Rugby, respectively. Kelly has also earned his first senior
appearances for Sale Sharks in the Premiership Rugby Cup.
19-year-old Kelly also led the England U19s during his first appearance for the team vs.
Japan U19 in a 52-47 victory in Cambridge. He continued on his England Pathway experience
with a cameo vs. France for the U19s, having achieved four U18 caps in 2024.
Fun fact: Seb is the younger brother of capped England international centre and new
Munster Rugby signing, Dan Kelly.
