Scarra Ntubeni, hailing from King Edward VII School, is a South African rugby player who has displayed his talent as a hooker throughout his career. His journey in the sport has been marked by significant achievements and contributions to various teams.

Ntubeni's promising rugby career began with his representation of the Lions at the U18 level and subsequently earning a spot in the South African Schools team in 2009. He then joined the Western Province Rugby Academy to further hone his skills.

In 2011, Ntubeni's career took off as he participated in the WPU21, Vodacom Cup, Super Rugby, and Currie Cup competitions. The following year, he played an instrumental role in Western Province's Currie Cup victory and continued to impress in the 2013 season, earning a call-up to the Springbok Tour to Europe.

Unfortunately, Ntubeni faced some setbacks due to injuries in subsequent seasons, hindering his progress. However, he made a strong comeback in 2016, fully fit and ready to contribute to the Stormers' Super Rugby campaign.

As of February 2018, Ntubeni had amassed 20 points in 45 Super Rugby appearances since his debut in 2011. Although injuries prevented him from making a Super Rugby appearance in 2017, he returned to help Western Province secure a Currie Cup title and was included in the 2018 Super Rugby squad.

In August 2019, Ntubeni received a call-up to the Springboks squad for an International Friendly match against Argentina, signifying his growing recognition at the international level. He made his mark in the provincial arena, debuting for both Western Province and the Stormers in 2011. However, it was during the 2012 Currie Cup that he truly established himself as a key member of the first team. His consistent performances during the campaign played a crucial role in Western Province's triumphant 33rd Currie Cup victory, where they defeated the Sharks 25-19 in Durban.

Ntubeni encountered a slow start to the 2013 season due to injury but returned to action for the final eight games, coinciding with an upturn in the Stormers' fortunes after a lackluster first half of the season. He continued to make an impact in the 2013 Currie Cup, solidifying his position as an essential member of the squad. Despite reaching the Currie Cup Final for the second consecutive year, Western Province fell short, losing 33-19 to the Sharks in Cape Town.

On October 28, 2013, Ntubeni was named in the 30-man squad for South Africa's end-of-year tests against France, Scotland, and Wales, although he did not feature in any of the matches. He received further recognition in May 2016 when he was included in the South Africa squad for a test series against Ireland. He also joined the South Africa 'A' squad for their series against England Saxons, starting in the first match but ending up on the losing side as the visitors claimed a 32-24 victory.

In June 2021, Ntubeni's talent and hard work earned him a place in South Africa's 46-man squad for the British and Irish Lions Tour, showcasing his status as a valued player within the national setup.
