Santiago Medrano is an Argentine rugby union player who primarily plays as a prop. He was born on 6 May 1996. Medrano most recently played for Worcester Warriors in Premiership Rugby until their holding company went into liquidation, resulting in the termination of all Warriors players' contracts on 5 October 2022.
Medrano began his senior rugby career with Regatas Bella Vista, a sports club located in the Bella Vista district of Greater Buenos Aires. He gained valuable experience, making 33 appearances for Regatas Bella Vista, before receiving a call-up to the Jaguares squad in 2018.
His performances in Super Rugby with the Jaguares caught the attention of the national selectors, leading to his inclusion in the Argentina squad for the Rugby Championship in 2018. Medrano has earned 21 caps for Argentina as of December 2020. Notably, he was part of the historic victory for Los Pumas over New Zealand.
Throughout his career, Medrano has played 30 Super Rugby matches for the Jaguares since making his debut in 2018. He later signed a two-year deal with the Western Force before joining Worcester Warriors in April 2022. Medrano's international debut for Argentina came against Wales four years prior to signing with Worcester Warriors.
