Born in American Samoa, Haini attended St Joseph College, a well-known rugby school in Samoa before receiving a Rugby/Academic scholarship to attend Churchie, Anglican Church Grammar School in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
He then went to Wellington, NZ, to attend Victoria University before migrating to the USA after being called into the USA Men’s Sevens team in 2015.
He has played for Churchie 1st XV, Samoa U19s, Wellington U20s, Wellington Lions trialist, Old Boys University, Marist St Pats, Santa Monica, USA Islanders, and the Houston SaberCats in Year 1 of the MLR.
In August 2019, he signed for New England Free Jacks.
