A verstile forward Grundlingh can play lock, flanker and eighthman.
After attending Hoerskool Transvalia in Gauteng, he went to the Central University of Technology in the Free State where he represented the Varsity Cup side in 2015 and 2017.
After the 2017 Varsity Cup season he joined the Pumas and made his debut for the side in May
