Arscott joined Timaru Celtic Rugby Football Club at the age of 4.
He went on to represent the Otago Boys High School 1st XV and was awarded the Provincial Union Development (PUD) Contract.
His father, Michael, played in the 1st XV for Christchurch Boys High School and St Kevin's College, Timaru.
In 2019, Arscott signed a deal with Otago in the Mitre 10 Cup.
