Tangimana was born in Neiafu, Tonga and qualifies to play for Romania Internationally.
The 111kg winger began playing amatuer rugby for Toloa Old Boys College.
In 2012, Tangimana joined Timișoara Saracens and spent 6 years at the Romanian club.
Fonovai Tangimana international debut at the autumn tests in 2016 more specifically in a match against the Eagles.
In 2018, he joined CSM București for one season before moving to Steaua București in south-west Bucharest.
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Tangimana has. been named in the squad for Romania.
