After impressing in the Varsity Cup Huggett, was selected into the Varsity Cup Dream Team in 2015. In the same year Huggett made his Currie cup debuted for the Cheetahs and in 2016 he made represented the Cheetahs in the Vodacom Cup. In 2017 Hugget was selected in the Cheetahs 2017 Super Rugby squad.
