Drew is from New Zealand and attended Feilding High School from 2014 through 2018. He was the 1st XV captain and won the Manawatu Schools Sevens Title and the Sir Gordon Tietjen Sevens Tournament in 2018. He was also the player in the latter tournament in 2017. In 2017 the team advanced to the finals of Central North Island and the National Co-ed Finals.
The Houston SaberCats re-signed Drew Wild for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old fullback/wing is 6’0″ and 185 lbs.
