21st Jul 1989 1.80m/95kg Openside Flanker

Chris Fusaro began his career playing for Heriot’s in the Tennent’s Premiership. He made his debut for Glasgow Warriors against Cardiff Blues in February 2010.

Since then he was named Warriors Player of the Season, and Players' Player of the Season in 2012 and in 2014 he signed a two-year contract extension that saw him stay at Glasgow Warriors until May 2016, when a new two-year contract was handed to him that will keep him at Scotstoun until at least May 2021.

Fusaro represented Scotland ‘A’ at the IRB Nations Cup in Romania, before making his Scotland debut in 2014 against England, becoming the country's 1052nd cap. He also made his 100th appearance for Glasgow in November 2015 against Treviso, reaching the milestone alongside long-serving team-mate and close friend Ryan Grant. Fusaro was at the heart of the club’s ascension to one of Celtic rugby’s powerhouses, culminating in coming off the bench in the 31-13 victory over Munster in May 2015 that secured a first-ever Guinness PRO12 title.

He has been capped for his country and was selected for the 2016 Six Nations squad. On 21 July 2016 it was announced that Fusaro would become a backroom coach at Stirling County in addition to his Warriors duties.

He helped Stirling County reach a first-ever National Cup final in April 2018, having been aligned to the club in the 2017/18 pro draft. He moved to be an Assistant Coach of Glasgow High Kelvinside in 2019.

Fusaro made four appearances during the 2020/21 season, starting the opening match of the campaign away to Connacht.

In May 2021, Fusaro announced that he will be retiring from professional rugby at the end of the 2020/21 season, as the openside calls time on a career that saw him take his place amongst the pantheon of club legends.

With 183 outings in a Glasgow jersey, at the time of his retirement, only Rob Harley and Ryan Wilson can lay claim to having made more appearances for the club than Fusaro.
