Cameron Redpath is a rugby player who emerged through the ranks at Sale Sharks and has since made a name for himself at Bath Rugby. He possesses a versatile skill set and has showcased his abilities in both the centre and fly-half positions.
Redpath's rugby journey started at Sale Sharks, where he played a significant role in the club's academy. During this time, he also represented England at the U18 and U20 levels and was part of the England squad that toured South Africa. However, he never earned a cap for the senior team.
In 2020, Redpath joined Bath Rugby, where he made his debut in a victory over London Irish. His performances in the Bath jersey quickly caught the attention of the Scottish national team, and he received a call-up to represent Scotland.
This was a special moment for Redpath, as his father, Bryan Redpath, had previously played 60 times for Scotland.
Redpath's breakthrough on the international stage came in 2021 when he delivered an outstanding performance in Scotland's memorable 11-6 victory over England at Twickenham. He was named the man of the match, showcasing his talent and potential.
Unfortunately, Redpath has experienced some significant injuries throughout his young career. However, his determination and dedication to rehabilitation have been evident, and he has worked hard to return to full fitness and continue improving his game.
After making his return to action with Bath in January 2022, Redpath was recalled to the Scotland squad for the 2022 Guinness Six Nations, where he earned his second cap against Wales in Cardiff.
His versatility and skill make him a valuable asset for both Bath Rugby and the Scottish national team, and he is expected to have a promising future in the sport.
Redpath has been selected to play for Scotland ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023.
