Born in the Wellington region of New Zealand, Perenise has earned a reputation as a rampaging ball carrying tighthead prop. Having graduated from Bishop Viard College, Perenise spent three season in Super Rugby with both the Hurricanes and the Highlanders.
During his time in Super Rugby, Perenise made his international debut with Samoa. In 2011 Perenise signed a contract with Bath in the English Premiership, just months after representing Samoa at the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand.
In August 2017, Anthony re-joined the club for the 2017-18 season. He made 85 appearances in his first stint in the Blue, Black and White, and is relishing the prospect of playing his rugby back at the Recreation Ground.
As of the 2018/2019 Champions Cup, Perenise has had 26 European Cups appearances scoring 2 tries and 10 points.
