Andrew Amonde

Amonde played in 85 tournaments for Kenya 7s totalling 358 matches, scoring 64 tries for a total of 320 points. He has 528 carries, 62 clean breaks and 369 tackles (all-time highest for Kenya).

He captained Kenya to win the Singapore 7s, while he featured in three finals at Wellington 7s, Hong Kong 7s and Vancouver 7s in the World 7s Series.

Besides captaining Kenya to a fourth-place finish in the 2013 World Cup, the forward led Kenya at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics. He played in the 2018 Rugby World Cup, 2010, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Amonde also featured for the 15s team, Kenya Simbas winning the Africa Cup with the side and several Elgon Cup.

After the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Amonde retired from the game.
