The 2026 Super Rugby Pacific Awards have been announced with Chiefs centre Quinn Tupaea crowned Player of the Year and NSW Waratahs young gun Sid Harvey claiming the competition's inaugural Rookie of the Year title.
Remarkably, Tupaea and Highlanders centre Timoci Tavatavanawai finished level on Player of the Year votes after Round 16, with the Chiefs star holding on to claim the honour via the tiebreaker of receiving more 'three votes' from the independent media panel across the season.
Meanwhile Harvey was a clear winner in the race for the Rookie of the Year title, with Lucas Casey of the Highlanders finishing in second place.
Nine clubs are represented in the competition's inaugural Team of the Year, which was selected using the top performers in the Player of the Year voting across each position.
"Quinn Tupaea is a most deserving winner of the Player of the Year Award, having been one of the competition's most consistent star performers and playing a leading role in the success the Chiefs have enjoyed in 2026," Super Rugby Pacific CEO Jack Mesley said.
"I would also like to congratulate Sid Harvey on becoming the inaugural Rookie of the Year. In his breakthrough season with the Waratahs we saw the skill and confidence to suggest he has a very bright future ahead of him.
"We're also delighted to announce the Team of the Year and for the first time formally recognise excellence across every position on the field. Our sincere congratulations to all the players who earned selection in 2026."
