Exeter Chiefs 24-45 Gloucester Rugby
Gloucester Rugby opened their Gallagher Premiership campaign with a 45-24 victory over Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park.
The last meeting between the sides was also won by Gloucester, who claimed a 34-31 victory at Kingsholm in April 2026.
Gloucester led 26-12 at half time after tries from Ben Loader, Seb Atkinson, Loader again and Dewi Lake. Exeter responded through Josh Iosefa-Scott and Ethan Roots, but Gloucester continued to control the scoreboard after the break.

Lake added his second try shortly after half time before Will Joseph and Stephen Varney crossed in quick succession. Exeter hit back through Varney and Louie Gulley, but Junior Denny's late try completed a convincing Gloucester win.
