Delgado lands at The Stoop

Harlequins are delighted to announce the signing of Argentina tighthead Pedro Delgado ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Delgado’s arrival follows that of his Argentinian and Dogos XV teammate, Boris Wenger who was announced by the Club on Thursday.
The 27-year-old tighthead has cut his cloth in Super Rugby Americas and earnt his opportunity to represent Argentina on five occasions to date at international level.
Last week, Delgado started for Los Pumas in their Rugby Championship 2025 opener against New Zealand in Córdoba and once again he has been named in the starting XV for this weekend’s Test.

The powerful tighthead began his career at Old Lions Rugby Club in 2015, where he learnt his craft for eight seasons prior to his move to Dogos XV in 2023.
After making the jump to Super Rugby Americas in 2023, the following year saw Delgado make his international debut as Los Pumas defeated the World Champions, South Africa in his hometown of Santiago del Estero.
Delgado will link up with his new teammates following the conclusion of the Rugby Championship.
“I’m really proud to join Harlequins. This is a new chapter in my career, and I’m looking forward to challenging myself in a new rugby environment in England,” said Delgado.
“The Club has a rich history and big ambitions, and I want to give everything I can to help achieve them. I can’t wait to get to work with my new teammates and play in front of the supporters.”
Head Coach Danny Wilson added: “Pedro is a very exciting signing, adding to the arrival of his Club and international teammate, Boris [Wenger].
“Pedro has gained international experience in the last couple of seasons which is invaluable, and tighthead is a specialist position that we need to build depth and competition in.
“He’s at a great stage of his career and powerful operator at the set-piece and around the park. We’re looking forward to welcoming Pedro into the Quins family and seeing how he performs in the Quarters this season.”
