Mastercard Player of the Match Sophie de Goede
On how she feels at reaching the semi-finals:
"It's incredible. We were excited to be in the semis last time and I feel like we are just rolling and we've checked off every job we have wanted to do so far. Real credit to Australia, it was a tough game. I'm just really happy we were able to come through that one and we look forward to the semis."
On being a versatile team:
"You could have given this Player of the Match to so many players out there and to the impact subs that came on and finished the game incredibly. I think that's what makes us a great team and hopefully you can continue to see that throughout the tournament."
On facing New Zealand next:
"Sounds pretty sweet, eh? Hopefully we see all these Canada fans out again, we'll need your support. Looking forward to it."
Kevin Rouet, head coach
On how pleased he is at the performance:
"I am very happy. Our first half was a very good rugby game for us. We pushed the game away from Australia and after that we managed the second half, so I'm very happy with the performance."
On whether it was his team's best performance of the tournament so far:
"I would say the first 40, yes. Not a lot of mistakes. I am very happy for the girls."
On playing New Zealand:
"You can't be over-confident but for sure we are confident. We are in the same place as New Zealand. We battle against them a lot so it is going to be a tight game."
On the statements Canada are making on the pitch:
"New Zealand is a very interesting team to watch. They take risks and we take risks and it could be a very good game of rugby."
Alex Tessier, captain
On the match:
"It was a great win. We are pretty proud of what the girls have done today and we have to switch our mindset to the semi-final, which is a six-day turnaround. We will recover, reassess and get ready for Friday."
On looking comfortable in all attacking areas:
"We looked to impose our tempo and we managed to do that well in the first half. We imposed our pace, our style and it paid off and we managed to put a lot of points on in the first half so that was a good start for us."
On going a step further than last time in the Rugby World Cup:
"That's the goal. We need to fine-tune some stuff and we are super excited and looking forward to Friday."
