All Blacks forwards analysis vs Stormers

New Zealand kicked off the Greatest Rivalry Tour with a 21-38 win over the Stormers in Cape Town. It was no smooth sailing as the visitors only had a 7 point lead at half time,7-14. The home side looked dangerous at times but struffled in the last 10 minutes as they lost both scrumhalves and winger to injury.
Lets take a look at how the New Zealand pack got through the match.
Lineouts (Attack)-New Zealand won 14 out of 14 lineouts.
Lineouts (Defence)-The Stormers won 16 of of their 20 lineouts but a but worry for New Zealand will be the amount of meters the Stormers made from their mauls. The Stormers also scored their opening try through a maul.
Scrums (Attack)-New Zealand won 4 out of four.
Scrums (Defence)-The Stormers won 5 out of 9 lineouts. The Stormers won 2-3 penalties in this set piece and that is something they will want to sort out ahead of the next game.
General attack-Peter Lakai was a boss on attack, making the most meters (43) of all the New Zealand forwards. Anton Segner and Samisoni Taukei'aho ran great lines and got their team over the advantage line.Both locks were fast on attacking breakdowns and Ethan Blackadder was excellent off the bench.

General defence-The forwards got through a ton of work on defence with Lakai (17 tackles), Patrick Tuipoluto and Segner making 10 tackles each.
Discipline-Simon Parker received a yellow card and in total New Zealand had 16 penalties against them.
Going forward, the New Zealand forwards would want to improve their discipline and making a bit more meters on attack.The scrums is also something they will want to fix. They can build on their lineouts and general defence.
