Springboks v Wallabies | Winners & Losers

The Springboks avenged last weeks loss with a win but not in the manner they had hoped in a windy and wet Cape Town. The Springboks managed a 30-22 win under Table Mountain but struggled to the win after the Wallabies came out fighting a second week in a row but lost some key players early. Here are our winners and losers:

Winners:

Handre Pollard:

100% off the kicking tee and another game where he again reinforces his number 1 status as Bok 10. The long passing game may not suit him perfectly but other than that the Man of the Match was superb.

Kwagga Smith:

Late call up to 8 after du Preez dropped out, Smith made 14 of his 15 tackles and earned some key turnovers.

Ox Nche:

Close to MOTM the man they call Ox was superb all round the park.

Corey Toole:

Looked to be playing his 30th test and not his first. A natural and very fast using his speed both sides of the ball to make a big impact.

Rob Valetini:

Another good run out in a near back to back win for the Wallabies on South African soil

Losers:

James O'Connor:

A good game by the 'old man of the squad' but having to play a full game when he picked up a niggle was an issue. His missed kicks and errors at the end of the game were costly

Andrew Kellaway:

A few errors from the outside back hurt the Wallabies when they were chasing the game

Canan Moodie:

Not a great outing from the Bulls winger/centre. Other than his try he made little impact
