ACT Brumbies prop James Slipper is set to break the all-time Super Rugby appearance record in Friday's round 6 clash with the Chiefs at Gio Stadium.
James, drew level on appearances with Crusaders Wyyatt Crockett on 202 games two weeks ago and will break the record on home turf.
Crockett will be joining the Brumbies, flying from New Zealand, to be part of the occasion, as Slipper takes over the record that the former All Black has held since 2017.
Slipper, 36, made his Super Rugby debut in 2010 for the Queensland Reds and played 104 Super Rugby games.
In 2019 he moved to Canberra to join the Brumbies, with Friday's game marking his 99th appearance for the club.
Super Rugby CEO Jack Mesley said " To break an all-time Super-Rugby appearance record is a remarkable achievement and an undeniable testament to
James Slipper's durability, professionalism and commitment to our game."
