England v Argentina: 3 Classic Clashes

England v Argentina: 3 Classic Clashes

England and Argentina will clash this Sunday at the Allianz Stadium. Both teams are brimming with confidence with England being on one of their best forms but so are Argentina after seeing off Wales and Scotland in style.

Looking back in history England have won 14 of their last 15 matches against Argentina, including each of their last four; however, their sole defeat in that spell came at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, in November 2022 (29-30) which will be a memorable game for many, especially the Argentinians.

Another memorable clash between the two sides happened earlier this year in July when replacement scrumhalf Jack van Poortvliet scored a try in the final minute that gave England a 22-17 victory over hosts Argentina.

Another famous last-minute win for England happened on the 10th of June 2017 when Debutant Denny Solomona scored a late try with his first touch in international rugby to help England secure a thrilling 38-34 win over Argentina.

If history is anything to go by, we’ll have another classic encounter this Sunday.
