Bulls v Munster | Five Talking Points
- 242
The Bulls advance into the URC Semi Finals thanks to a dominant win over Munster in Pretoria. Here are our five key take aways from the game.
Forward Carries With Purpose:

The Bulls set the tone early thanks to hard hitting carries that rocked the Munster side and made the advantage line at will in the opening quarter. They dove tailed it with great aggression on defence too.
Embrose Papier Accuracy:
While Papier scored a brace of tries it was his contestable kicks that were his sides biggest asset to start things off. He started off with his side winning back possession twice from his opening three kicks and that continued through the game along with a great attacking eye and lovely front foot ball.
Power Scrum:
Despite losing Wilso Louw before kick off, the Bulls dominated the scrum contest from the get go and it was clear that Munster would need to avoid that aspect of the game at all costs.
Willie le Roux - The Assist King:
Willie le Roux was at his all time best at coming into the line to add width on attack for the Bulls side, he was involved in most of the tries is some form and like a chess grandmaster, he always seemed to be two moves ahead of Munster
Munster Loose Play:

Munster knew that the Bulls' weakness would be drawing them into a loose and chaotic game and they managed to knock the Bulls off their plan for a moment in the first half where they kept it loose and unstructured. The Bulls got drawn in and did the same but the innacuracy and turnovers fells for the visitors and allowed them to stay in the contest for most of the opening 40 minutes
