Joaquin Paz first rose to prominence in 2013 when he was selected in the Puma 7s side which went to the South American Championship. Later that year he made is first full cap for Los Pumas against Chile. He went to win a second cap against Uruguay in 2013 and was selected in the Puma 7s 2014 squad.
