A year later saw the prop's introduction into Super Rugby, in what promised to be a long successful career.

The former IRB Junior World Championship-winning Baby Bok prop was lured to Edinburgh in 2014 before being named in Vern Cotter's extended squad for RWC 2015.

October 2016, saw Dell get included into Scotland's squad for the 2016 Autumn Tests against Australia, Argentina and Georgia.

He was an ever-present player in the Scotland match day squad throughout 2018 taking his test cap tally to 17.

In January 2019, Dell signed with London Irish and linked up with the Exiles ahead of the 2019/20 season.
