Nigel Ah Wong

30th May 1990 1.93m/102kg Left Wing

Ah Wong made his Super Rugby debut with the Brumbies in 2015 against the Cheetahs and quickly showed great potential at elite level.

Selected from the Rising Rebels development squad, Ah Wong played for the Melbourne Rebels in their 2011 European Tour. In 2012 he represented Queensland Reds in their exhibition match against the Hurricanes on the Sunshine Coast. The player has also spent two strong seasons with the UC Vikings in the National Rugby Championship and the Tuggeranong Vikings in the John I Dent Cup. After the 2013 Super Rugby season, he was recruited by the West Red Sparks to play in the Japanese Top League.

A hard-running, big outside centre, Ah Wong has shown he’s no one trick pony, adding ball-play to his classy lines and hole running to make a formidable attacking threat.

Having made his debut in 2015, the 2017 Super Rugby season will see Ah Wong add to his 22 caps and 25 points in the tournament.
