Yeandle to face disciplinary committee on 2 March

Exeter Chiefs hooker and captain Jack Yeandle will face a disciplinary committee on 2 March where his fate will be decided after he was sent from the field during Exeter’s fixture against Sale Sharks at the AJ Bell Stadium.

The incident occurred in the 26th minute of the first half and saw Yeandle hit a ruck with ferocity, connecting his shoulder with the head of a Sale player in the process.

After consulting with the TMO, referee Karl Dickson showed Yeandle the red card. Exeter, naturally, had their backs against the wall for the remainder of the match which Sale managed to win 25-20.

The independent disciplinary panel will comprise Jeremy Summers (chair), with two other panel members to be confirmed.
