World Rugby U20 Highlights: New Zealand 67-0 Japan
- 1968
New Zealand got the defence of their World Rugby Under 20 Championship off to the perfect start as they thumped Japan 67-0 in the opening round. The six time champions started superbly and showed their class to run in six first half tries to take an emphatic 38-0 lead into the break. Japan were better in the second half, as New Zealand couldn't find the same rhythm as in the opening forty, with handling errors creeping in due to the wet conditions. However, it did not stop the Baby Blacks from crossing for a further five scores to seal a resounding victory.
