A furious late fightback from Georgia u20 saw them edge Japan u20 24-22 in the semi-finals for 9th position at the World Rugby Under 20 Championship. Both sides crossed for two first half tries, with Japan also kicking a penalty for a 17-12 lead at the break. An early second half try saw Japan extend their advantage to 22-12. Georgia got themselves right back into the match as they went over for a try with 9 minutes to play to make it 22-19. The come back was complete as Georgia crossed for their fourth try with just three minutes remaining to seal a dramatic victory.
