World Rugby and the Japan Rugby 2019 Organising Committee will host a press briefing tomorrow where they are expected to announce the cancellation of both the England vs France and Japan vs Scotland games due to Typhoon Hagibis that is expected to hit Fukuoka on Saturday and progress to Yokohama on Sunday.
According to reports, the "super" typhoon will cause constraints of travel and accommodation to be more complex than expected and could encourage World Rugby to make this radical decision.
Should the games be cancelled, the teams would be awarded two points.
#ENGvFRA both qualified so cancellation would be unfortunate but not end of world.#JPNvSCO different case. Best scenario - delay until Monday. Assess damage to infrastructure Sunday - if OK play at Yokohama, if not behind closed doors at Tokyo or even Chichibunomiya.#RWC2019
