It does make you wonder watching Saracens how Chris Ashton and David Strettle are not England's wingers.
At club level they are both outstanding and consistent, the arch poachers.
And it is not as if Stuart Lancaster has nailed down his wing selections.
Jack Nowell and Anthony Watson are the incumbents but it would be stretching a point to say that they are now nailed-on selections moving forwards.
Nowell has his proponents, and you can see why because he is a neat footballer with a physical edge, but does he have sufficient gas at Test level? I am not sure he has.
