Will Miller signs for Brumbies

Brumbies have announced that Will Miller will join the club from the Waratahs having signed a 2-year contract with the club.

 
The backrower, who has played 34 Super Rugby matches and has claimed six tries, featured in a dozen matches for the Waratahs last season putting in some dynamic and eye-catching displays.

9 All Blacks released for Mitre 10 Cup duty

The All Blacks have confirmed that 9 players from their squad will be released to attend to Mitre 10 Cup duty.

Brad Weber (Hawke's Bay) and Liam Coltman and Josh Ioane (Otago) for their match at McLean Park, Napier, on Thursday 22 August.

Springboks name final training squad

The Springbok training squad of 36 players assembled in Bloemfontein on Sunday for a four-day Rugby World Cup camp in Bloemfontein as part of the Boks’ preparations for the global tournament which starts next month in Japan.

The group consists of players who were part of the Springboks’ recent successful Rugby Championship campaign and the Farewell Test against Argentina in Pretoria.

The announcement of the 31-man squad takes place on Monday, 26 August, at 15h00 in Johannesburg. Full squad

Conor O'Shea announces his 31 man RWC squad

Conor O'Shea has announced 31 players for the 2019 Rugby World Cup scheduled in Japan starting next September 20th.

Veteran Sergio Parisse, captain of Italy with 139 caps and third player ever at the international level with more appearances in a national shirt behind legends like Ireland's O'Driscoll (141 caps) and the New Zealand McCaw (149 caps ), will have the opportunity to play the fifth consecutive World Cup.

South Africa qualify for Women’s Rugby World Cup 2021

South Africa secured their return to the Women’s Rugby World Cup stage after lifting the inaugural Rugby Africa Women’s Cup title in Johannesburg on Saturday, defeating Kenya 39-0.

The Springbok Women ran in seven tries at Bosman Stadium and ended the four-team tournament with three wins out of three.

Victory means that South Africa have become the eighth team to qualify for New Zealand 2021, and will make their fourth Women's Rugby World Cup appearance after playing in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 events. Full story

All Black demolish the Australians to secure the Bledisloe

Many All Black supporters would've been made to feel very uncomfortable as they came into this week rather bruised. This was after they finished the Rugby Championship in the bottom half, the first time since 2003. They also finished the tournament with a negative points difference. However, as we all know there is no team that bites back harder than a bruised New Zealand outfit. And they clinical 36 - 0 performance at Eden Park on Saturday was just proof of that.
