Henderson in line for return

Ulster lock Iain Henderson is on course for a return to rugby this weekend against Glasgow Warriors.

Henderson has been out injured since December with a hamstring injury and the original diagnosis was he would miss the rest of the season.

However Ulster director of rugby Les Kiss has hinted that he could make a return this weekend.

“He is right in the mix at this stage,” Kiss told reporters.

“If everything comes up rosy (from training) then he is in that mix."

Tommy Bowe is also progressing well from his serious knee ligament injury he suffered during last year's Rugby World Cup.

“He is getting closer and closer and for the nature of the injury he had it’s just about being really careful about when he comes back with everything full tilt," Kiss added.

“He is taking contact in a really strong way now so he can play rugby but it’s about getting the timing right and he is probably a little bit behind Hendy."

Ritchie calls for end on Marler debate

The decision by Six Nations bosses not to punish Joe Marler over remarks to Wales' Samson Lee should end the matter, says RFU chief Ian Ritchie.

The Six Nations accepted Marler's private and public apology and imposed no punishment.

"Let's take some perspective and let's not deflect from what we did in terms of the Grand Slam," added Ritchie.

"What Joe said was entirely inappropriate. He recognised that, he apologised very quickly and has apologised publicly since then.

"It's pretty clear that nobody made a complaint about it, and I think Samson Lee's reaction to it has been evident and he accepted the apology.

"[England coach] Eddie Jones and I spoke about it and when Eddie talks to someone that person is left in no doubt as to the appropriate nature of his behaviour, and that it should not be repeated.

"There was no citing officer complaint, there was no referee complaint and the Six Nations looked at the matter fully as well and came to a conclusion."
