Moala discharged: Blues back George Moala has been discharged without conviction for assault after an incident in a bar in Auckland in 2012. The 24 year old has been handed a NZ$ 2500 fine despite being sentenced for conviction, but judge Rob Ronayne has chosen to discharge him without conviction. His brother was found not guilty of taking part of the assault in a bar while Moala was found guilty in front of a jury in January.
Vainikolo to Oyonnax: Exeter winger Fetu'u Vainikolo has signed for Top 14 side Oyonnax on a two-year deal. Oyonnax have has a stunning season and are on course to make the play-offs for the first time in their history. Vainikolo joins Oyonnax with Piri Weepu and George Robson already signed for next season with the French outfit. The 30 year old joined Exeter from Connacht and before coming to Europe the Tonga international broke onto the scene with the Hurricanes.
