Naivalu signs new deal: Melbourne Rebels winger Sefanaia Naivalu has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club through to 2017. The Fijian-born winger only arrived in Australia in 2014, but has managed to establish himself as a first team regular in his first season of Super Rugby .He already has four tries to his name since iniatially breaking though playing for the Melbourne Rising in the NRC, and Rebels boss Tony McGahan admits his rapid progression has surprised everyone. Naivalu said upon signing his new deal, "This is a great opportunity for me, and I am so excited to re-sign in Melbourne", he said."I didn't want to go anywhere else. "Melbourne feels like home to me now."
Neville to Reds: The Queensland Reds have signed up a replacement for the departing James Horwill by signing Rebels lock Cadeyrn Neville. The 26-year-old has made 44 Super Rugby appearances since making his debut in 2012, and will fill the gap left by former Wallaby skipper Horwill, who is off to Premiership side Harlequins at the end of the season. While Neville is yet to be capped by the Wallabies, he has been called into train with the Wallabies on a number of occasions, and Reds coach Richard Graham believes he has the potential to make a name for himself in Brisbane.
