Wallabies star Sio re-signs until 2022


Wallabies and Brumbies star Scott Sio has signed a new three-year deal with Rugby Australia (RA).

Sio, 27, has made 55 Test appearances for Australia since his debut in 2013, a year after he played his first game for the Brumbies.

He will remain in Australia and with the Brumbies until at least the end of 2022 after his new deal was announced on Wednesday.

Cian Healy signs new IRFU & Leinster contract

Ireland international loosehead Cian Healy has signed a new two-year IRFU contract until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Healy has been capped 88 times for Ireland, Healy started four of Ireland’s five Six Nations fixtures this season and also starred in the victories over Argentina and New Zealand in November.

Simon Hammersley leaves Newcastle Falcons

Newcastle Falcons full-back Simon Hammersley is leaving the club after exercising a relegation release clause, the club has confirmed.
 
 
 
The 26-year-old had signed a two-year contract extension in January after making 103 appearances for the Falcons, but will instead be a Sale Sharks player next season.
 
 
 

Scarlets appoint Glenn Delaney as defence coach

The Scarlets have added another piece to their coaching jigsaw for next season with the appointment of Glenn Delaney as defence coach.


Delaney is currently the defence coach with New Zealand Super Rugby side the Highlanders and boasts a wealth of experience in northern hemisphere rugby.
