Hayden Parker’s boot and Semisi Masirewa hattrick made history for the Sunwolves on Friday as they defeated the Waratahs 31-29 in Newcastle.
The win was the Japanese side’s first ever on Australian soil and it was well setup by their No. 10’s accurate boot and composure throughout the game.
Parker scored 11 points in the game had continued his 100% kicking record against the Tahs. The 28-year-old, formerly from the Highlanders, has now successfully converted his last 32 kicks in Super Rugby.

In the 50th minute of the game, the New Zealander stepped up to take a pressure kick to put his side in the lead and boy was it a sensational one. On the night, the flyhalf also managed to make 23 metres, make 22 passes and beat four defenders on attack.
The Sunwolves next game is against the Rebels and they will be upbeat heading into that one next weekend.
Hayden Parker added to his goal kicking run with 5/5 in a 2 point Sunwolves win vs Waratahs today (their first in Australia) including this incredible conversion from the sideline. Now 70 from his last 71 kicks in Super Rugby. pic.twitter.com/P3MWc6RHvN
