Having been snubbed for the All Blacks 31-man Rugby World Cup squad, live wire centre Ngani Laumape turned out for Manawatu Turbos in the Mitre 10 Cup on Friday.
The bulldozing centre missed out in the All Blacks Rugby World Cup squad with the likes of Ryan Crotty, Sonny Bill Williams, Jack Goodhue and Anton Liernet-Brown preferred to the 13 test centre.
It didn't take long for the centre to make his mark in New Zealand's domestic competition with some early strong carries and solid defence before he ripped through the Northland defence late in the first half.
He accelerated into a gap before putting a perfect grubber through for Jamie Booth to score.
