Watch: Ma'a Nonu rolls back the years with a bulldozing run
- 2099
Ma'a Nonu has certainly hit the ground running in his return to Super Rugby with the Blues, so much so that he is in the conversation for the All Blacks squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
This past weekend against the Chiefs, the 36-year-old once again rolled back the years and put in another fantastic shift scoring a brace as the Blues narrowly lost to the Chiefs.
The one try he scored was in vintage Nonu fashion as he took the ball hard to the line from a scrum and sent Anton Liernert-Brown flying backwards. The Chiefs' centre bundled into Lachlan Boshier while Luke Jacobson and Ataata Moeakiola scrambled to stop the rampaging centre.
Nonu bundled over the line to give to norrow the gap between the two sides.
