Watch: Jonny Hill's brilliant spiral kick

Jonny Hill channelled his inner John Eales on Friday night during Exeter's clash with Bristol Bears. 

The second-rower produced this wonderful spiral clearance kick from his own 22 which pinned Bristol back into their own half.

British and Irish Lions coach Warren Gatland was in attendance to watch Exeter claim a 12-20 win over the Bears at Ashton Gate and while that is probably not the skills he would want to see from his potential locks, any extra skill will certainly be a plus.

After the game, Exeter boss Stuart Baxter said his crop of potential British and Irish Lions players laid down a marker.

Baxter said: “The games are running out before selection and you have to maximise your opportunities and I thought a lot our lads did that today.

“I thought most of our lads who are with a shout of the Lions did all the good they could for their case for selection.”
