Watch: Damian Penaud's BRUTAL hand off on Louis Duichot
- 2084
Clermont's Damian Penaud has been in red hot form for both France and Clermont for sometime and after being dropped by Franck Azema last week for what was described as a 'managerial sanction', he returned in to the starting XV scoring a try in the loss to Racing 92.
The 23-year-old French International will be one to watch in the Six Nations having scored 3 tries in just 4 games since returning for Clermont following the World Cup while also assisting a further two.
Clermont and Toulouse, last season's TOP14 finalists, sit 7th & 8th in the current log following slow starts to the season with both sides going down this weekend.
Penaud made 75 running metres, beat a defender, made 4 clean breaks and made all of his attempted tackles despite Clermont going down 27-19.
His try came from a nice skip pass from Camille Lopez before Penaud produced an excellent handoff on Dupichot to score.
France named their initial Six Nations squad on Wednesday as Fabien Galthie starts his tenure as France's head coach with Penaud almost a certainty in the squad.
