Waratahs not getting carried away - Hooper
Waratahs skipper Michael Hooper isn’t getting carried away ahead of this weekend’s visit to Bloemfontein to take on the Cheetahs.
Every single point is vital for the ‘Tahs as they chase a play-off spot, currently holding the Australian Conference lead over the Brumbies purely based on their higher number of wins.
Taking on a Cheetahs side that have really struggled in defence over the last few rounds is bound to raise expectations within the Waratahs camp, but Hooper is doing his best to keep their feet on the ground.
Victory however would be a massive boost with only two rounds to go in the regular season with the Waratahs still in with a shot of defending their title from 2014.
"But it's something that we'll only be playing for where, if points or a try (come up) in the last five minutes of the game, we're going for the try. The target is to really put out a complete performance. We believe the rest will take care of itself.”
