Wallabies to head north without star winger

Wallabies star outside back Marika Koroibete will not be among Dave Rennie’s troops as they head north for the November internationals.

The 29 year-old koroibete has instead elected to stay behind and be with his family following the recent birth of his third child.

“We’ve been discussing it for a while,” Rennie told AAP.

“We let him go home a week early during the Rugby Championship. Covid has thrown a lot of curve balls at all of us. Obviously, Marika has been away from home for a long time.

“Emma’s [Koroibete’s wife] pretty isolated down there. They’ve had a newborn baby, and a couple of other young boys. Based on those situations, Marika has chosen not to tour.

“Marika is an unbelievable player with a massive work ethic. And physicality. Big shoes to fill, but we have good depth there.”
