Wales worried about Uruguy's attacking plan

Wales defence coach Shaun Edwards believes a lack of experience of playing Uruguay will stand in the South American side’s favour.

Wales begin their World Cup campaign this weekend in Cardiff.

"Their unpredictability will be the biggest threat. Although their players are not household names, it's important that we don't underestimate them.

"It's equally important to make sure we concentrate on our own performance.

"We have obviously got footage of them and the players have been looking at that, but there is certainly a degree of unpredictability. They are not players who you regularly play against.”

Edwards also discussed England centre Sam Burgess and what he expects the former rugby league player can offer Stuart Lancaster.

"I think Sam has been massively improving. Like any player, it is massive to change sport, but for Sam, he has changed from a forward to a back as well. That has made it even harder for him.”

"I was very impressed with the way he played in a losing team in the English grand final.

"Sometimes you see the merit of a player in a losing side. I thought Sam was Bath's best forward against Saracens. He really put himself about in a team that was under a lot of pressure.

"We know how much guts and bravery he's got, but I thought it was an excellent all-round performance from him. I haven't seen a full game of him playing at centre for a while, but he came on there for England and made a relatively good impact. I think Sam has acquitted himself very, very well."
